*(English version below)* # Preparazione Corso $\rm\LaTeX$ Per formattare documenti tramite $\rm\LaTeX$, suggeriamo di usare l'editor $L\kern-.1667em\lower.25em\hbox{Y}\kern-.125emX$: per avere un ambiente funzionante, dovrete installare sia una distribuzione $\rm\TeX$, che l'editor stesso. Di seguito, le istruzioni specifiche per i principali sistemi operativi. ## Installare distribuzione $\rm\TeX$ **ATTENZIONE**: l'installazione dei componenti necessari richiede al massimo 6GB di spazio sul disco; assicuratevi di avere lo spazio necessario, oppure dovrete personalizzare la vostra installazione. ### Windows Consigliamo l'uso di **TeXLive**; scaricare il programma di installazione da questo [link](http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/tlnet/install-tl-windows.exe), avviatelo e scegliete l'installazione solo per il vostro utente ("just for yourself") e poi la modalità Installazione Semplice ("Simple install"). L'installazione richiederà il download di un gran numero di componenti e impiegherà un po' di tempo. ### GNU/Linux Consigliamo l'uso di **TeXLive**; tramite il vostro gestore di pacchetti potete scaricare facilmente il file necessario, a seconda della vostra Distro: - Debian/Ubuntu (e derivate) ```bash sudo apt install texlive ``` - RHEL/Fedora ```bash sudo dnf install texlive ``` - Arch ```bash sudo pacman -S texlive-most ``` ### macOS Consigliamo l'uso di **MacTeX**; scaricate il programma di installazione da questo [link](http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/mac/mactex/MacTeX.pkg), avviatelo e procedete attraverso le pagine di benvenuto, leggimi, licenza e finale, cliccando quindi il bottone Installa. Below you will find OS-specific instructions. ## Install the $\rm\TeX$ distribution **WARNING**: to install all required components, 6GB of storage will be required at most; be sure to have the required space, or you will need to customize the installation. ### Windows We suggest using **TeXLive**; download the install executable from this [link](http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/tlnet/install-tl-windows.exe), run it and choose to install "just for yourself" and the the "Simple install" mode. This installer will download lots of component and it will take some time. ### GNU/Linux We suggest using **TeXLive**; through the package manager you can download the correct files, depending on your Distro: - Debian/Ubuntu (e derivate) ```bash sudo apt install texlive ``` - RHEL/Fedora ```bash sudo dnf install texlive ``` - Arch ```bash sudo pacman -S texlive-most ``` ### macOS We suggest using **MacTeX**; download the install executable from this [link](http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/mac/mactex/MacTeX.pkg), run it and go through the pages Welcome, Readme, License e Final, eventually clicking on the Install button.
